SERVE

One of the ways that we live out our faith and grow in discipleship to Jesus is by serving our local community alongside other believers. We believe serving your church body and our Salina community is participation in the Kingdom of God here and now. It's also a great way to connect and build relationships. Extroverts, introverts, administrators, and organizers are all needed in the body of Christ. When you volunteer your time, you help us make New Community a safe and healthy place for all to experience the life made possible in Jesus. Help us discover and foster the gifts of our community.

Sunday

Greeting & Hospitality

This is our front line on Sunday mornings when it comes to providing a welcoming atmosphere. If you can shake a hand, be friendly, make coffee, and help guide our New Community community, we want you to consider joining our greeting and hospitality team.

Tech

Join the team that creates and maintains an environment that helps people engage in thoughtful worship through audio and visuals. We'll train you if you're interested!

Safety

Help create a safe, friendly environment and be ready to respond in case of an emergency.

Setup/Teardown

Help create the team that manages our chair setup so we can use our space effectively. We're looking for volunteers and a team lead.

Music

Join the team that provides the musical expression of our gathered worship on Sunday mornings by playing an instrument, singing, or leading a band and congregation.

STUDENTS

NC Kids & Nursery

Help us foster a safe, fun environment for our pre-K through 5th grade students on Sunday mornings. We're looking for adults who can enjoy conversations with our students, facilitate a safe, fun environment, help parents know their kids are safe, and grow alongside the awesome kids we have here.

NC Youth High School & Middle School

Join the team that fosters spiritual growth in our middle and high school students through fun, laughter, Bible study, theological depth, and prayer. Pizza is involved too. We are especially looking for male mentorship in this season.

COMMUNITY & DISCIPLESHIP

NC Groups

Join the team of committed disciple makers who facilitate discussion, teach, and host small groups, big groups, and, classes that foster intentional spiritual formation. We're always looking for leaders and hosts.

Monthly Table & Events

We gather once a month for some food and connection. Join the team that facilitates, hosts, and plans for these events.

Prayer

We are a praying community. Join the team that focuses time and energy on praying for our community and forming prayer practices as part of our spiritual formation.

Care

Help the team that takes care of needs in our church body and local community. This team serves through acts of kindness and benevolence, visiting those in the hospital, and more.

NC Missions

Join the team dedicated to local and global missions efforts. Our missions team serves, funds, and organizes lots of ways to participate in the mission of the Church.

Salina Community

Help us plan and build a team that is dedicated to serving our local Salina community through organization, volunteering, and care for our city.

FACILITIES

Building & Maintenance

Help us maintain our facilities through minor repair, painting, and building projects as a practice of hospitality. Maintaining our facilities is an important way that we help create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. We're currently looking for regular volunteers and someone to lead this team.

Grounds

Help us maintain the grounds, lawn, and landscaping to provide a beautiful and inviting space to facilitate worship and community.
