The most intense aspect of being a believer should be worship. Through worship, we encounter God who loves us deeply and desires goodness for those who trust Him. Our primary outlet for worship is our Sunday morning worship service. Through this service, we hope to create a setting in which worship can occur; a place where Christians can increase in devotion to God and experience the love of our Father. We include contemporary music and drama because that reflects who we are in our culture. In addition to Sunday worship, we strive to encourage a life of worship in every person.


Growing in the faith is a huge part of being a Christian. We utilize cell (small) groups to accomplish this goal of growth. Within these cells, we study, pray, encourage and enjoy one another. Most of these cells meet each week in homes and a few meet at the church facility.


Jesus has a special place in His heart for children, and so do we. Every Sunday morning, our children celebrate in the Kid's Kingdom, and Sunday morning is just the beginning. Many of our events revolve around reaching and teaching our children.


New Community is an active church. Throughout the year, we have many different events to bring us all together. A Fall Festival, A Day at the Lake and a Hayrack Ride are just a few of the events we celebrate each year together.


The women's ministry of New Community (EXPOSE) exists to bring glory to God by becoming His hands and His heart to those around us. Our goal is to discover and unleash our God-given gifts and passions in service to one another and our community. We desire to facilitate mentoring relationships, to promote service through volunteering, to encourage prayer, and to enjoy fellowship with one another, all for the sake of exposing hearts that are transformed and spiritually mature.


Reaching out to others is a cornerstone of New Community. With this in mind, we want to reach as far and wide as possible. Through financial support. prayer and hands on serving, we seek to make Christ known to others. Currently, New Community supports the Pregnancy Service Center here in Salina, the Christian Evangelizing Association of Kansas (a church planting organization) and the Salina Rescue Mission. We also take periodic trips to Mexico to help build homes.


We do like to have fun. With that in mind, we sponsor various sporting events. These sporting events rotate throughout the year as the seasons change. Contact Dave Henry at (785) 823-2214 for more details.
